Touring
Every year MSE undertakes a tour either
within
Australia, Asia or Europe. The touring
experience is a highlight of the MSE year.
The diverse music making, the friendships
formed, the insight into other cultures all
combine to make the tours inspiring and memorable.
The tour format is:
- 14-16 days in duration
- Visit at least 3 cities
- Rehearse and perform with leading youth
orchestras
- Masterclass with noted
players and teachers
- Where possible billet with families
to experience another culture
- and sightseeing
Generally, MSE tour involve secondary and tertiary students as well as
those parents who wish to accompany the
tour.
Recent tours have taken MSE to Singapore/
Kuala Lumpur/Hong Kong in 2000, Germany
2003 and New Zealand 2004.
The 2005 MSE tour to Germany visited Berlin,
Munich and Stuttgart. see
